Welcome to our April 2024
DúnLaoghaireTown.IE newsletter
Dún Laoghaire town is still buzzing from the success of its first St. Patrick’s Day Parade in 50 years! Building on this momentum the Dún Laoghaire Town Team is working hard on plans for upcoming events like the Dargan Forum in July, Love Dún Laoghaire Day in September and the summer Coastival festival to bolster shopping, business and social activities in the town. The approval of DLR County Council’s Living Streets scheme underpins the council’s focus on improved public spaces and mobility for our town.
This year DLR County Council celebrates its 30th anniversary and has introduced a Climate Action Plan for 2024-2029 to mitigate climate change effects. Cultural pursuits this month include the Spring into Heritage programme, featuring the Joyce Tower Museum and other local icons. We also look forward to guitarist Pat Coldrick’s performance in the Maritime Museum, The Pavilion Theatre’s “Chess” and DLRArtNet exhibition that showcases over 120 works by local artists. This month DunLaoghaireTown.ie are running a campaign featuring the must-visit places in our town like the Dlr LexIcon, emphasising our town’s mix of history, culture, and community activities.
