Welcome to

Dún Laoghaire: Kyoto Asian Street Food

“Busy from the get-go” is how manager Philip Barry described Kyoto Asian Street Food’s first two days of business. The Asian eatery opened only last Thursday, March 30, but already foodies have been flocking to the new Patrick Street restaurant.

Kyoto is the only one of its kind in Dún Laoghaire, although owner Ryon Wen opened sister restaurant Kyoto Noodles and Sushi in Limerick city in June 2016. “My reason for opening in Dún Laoghaire was due to the town’s great location,” Wen explained.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of Asian street foods, rices, curries, and boxed noodles. Customers can choose from an extensive menu featuring items such as Slow-Cooked BBQ Pork Ribs, Stir Fried Cashew Nuts, Yaki Soba, and more. While Wen said trying to pick one dish from the menu as a favorite was nearly impossible, he thinks “the ice cream for every customer is a memorable touch.”
